I purchased this book believing it contained the beautiful poem, The Owl and the Nightingale, written in the twelfth or possibly thirteenth century.

And I suppose it does - kinda. But the poem has been rendered into modern English, thereby destroying most of its beauty and all the sense of antiquity it should convey/5(2).
